Hospice and Palliative Care—

            A Hospice is a compassionate approach to end of life care. It is our goal at Millcreek Hospice to help our patients live life fully, while maintaining dignity and hope in the face of limiting illness. Millcreek Hospice is dedicated to empowering our patients by identifying their participation as an integral part of the treatment process. There is no cost to you when using Millcreek Hospice because all services are covered 100 % by Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance plans.

            Millcreek Hospice provides palliative care, which is the medical term used to describe the comfort achieved by patients through effective pain control and symptom management. Hospice and palliative care is aimed toward improving comfort and providing dignity, not reversing the underlying disease.

            Millcreek Hospice offers hope for personal dignity and freedom from fears of isolation, abandonment, loneliness and physical pain. We understand we are guests in our patients’ homes, and we here at Millcreek Hospice are focused on substantially improving our patients’ quality of life. We believe this means more than just “checking up” on our patients—Millcreek Hospice provides emotional, social, spiritual and physical support to all our patients and their families, in addition to highly advanced medical care.
